I am hoping y'all might have some members near me, because I am trying to find more members and a place to host a sunday night werewolf (Old WOD) game. We've got two players, but none of us are able to host where we live, unfortunately. Nice to meet everyone!

camelottreasure: Camelot Treasures Sep 2009 news

We hope everybody had an enjoyable summer. We have certainly been busy with shows and new stuff. We are now conducting business as "Kirsten Vaughan Designs", but may still use the Camelot Treasures name at various shows and functions. Our focus is mostly costuming - medieval, fantasy, renaissance, steam-punk, etc. We'll still be hosting birthdays, doing music, and historical educational programs. The web page will reflect all this soon.

COSTUME COMMISSIONS - Kirsten has been taking lots of orders lately. If you are looking for custom costuming of any kind - cloaks, wizard robes, medieval dresses and tunics, etc please contact her directly at aenor@ipass.net. Halloween and the Carolina Renaissance Festival are not far away.

NEW EFENWEALT CD - Scott has a new CD out under his Efenwealt Wystle name. This one is a collection of medieval songs from around the year 1200 - many with wonderful, singable translations in modern english. Scott performs on recorders, krumhorns, guitar, and harp, with additional vocals by Kirsten. The CD is available from us, or at

Via zarq.

eugie kindly posts:

To All You Book-loving Atlanta Locals:

I just got a note from Sean Wallace, Publisher/Editor with Prime Books/Wildside Press. It seems that SF/F publisher Meisha Merlin, which declared it was shutting down in November, has a rather large amount of stock (tens of thousands of books) in its Stone Mountain warehouse (1440 Kelton Drive, Stone Mountain) that needs to be rescued or it will all be destroyed/recycled.

Sean is renting a truck which can fit fifteen pallets, single-stacked, or thirty double-stacked, but there's no forklift available, only a pallet jack. So he has to fill the truck by hand. He'll be in town Tuesday and Wednesday (4/22 and 4/23) to load up, and he's asked me to spread the word that he's desperate for volunteers to help him. Anyone who volunteers can cart off any books they want that don't fit into the truck.

If you can help out or know of folks who might be able to, email Sean at: Meisha Merlin Volunteer! seanwallace@comcast.net

===

Zarq also said that Meisha Merlin had the rights to publish books by Robert Heinlein, Jodi Lyn Nye, Sharon Lee, and George R. R. Martin among other. I would love to help with this, but with a bad ankle and no way there... :/

jimbokundesu: With the introduction!

Name: Jarrad Chapman

Age: 27

Gaming experience: mostly of the video kind, from NES to 360. Also wanting to play a little D&D again, maybe M:TG (but it's sooo expensive and I have NOTHING type II anymore). WoW is fun, but being guildless on Malfurion is not a productive experience. it's starting to be more trouble than it's worth to see the endgame stuff that's supposedly really cool.

Location; Norcross, GA these days... may change in couple of months...

Marital status: Painfully single. Not a fan of it.

Longest time in one place gaming: Civilization 1-4...one game takes about 8-10 hours straight of me sitting and building and winning and playing again...

Highest Level reached in any game: 255 (multipe times) in Star Ocean: The Second Story (PSX). I enjoyed every bit of it.

Game related site I frequent: (tie) GameSpot and Penny-Arcade.

Further bulletins as events warrant....

-Jarrad
